Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings - Prospect Park 8/7 - Videos and Photos

Hot off last week’s Sonic Youth show put on by Celebrate Brooklyn, the BAL gang returned to Prospect Park this past Saturday to catch Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings deliver a most memorable and refreshing performance. Apparently a good 20,000 people packed it in huge for this show on a beautiful summer night, but as you will see from the pics and vids we took, BAL was privy to the ill access, resulting in some of the most intimate and just plain gorgeous shots we’ve ever taken. 

The show itself was truly a class act all the way through. Everything from the musicians outfits to Sharon’s warm and sincere delivery screamed class, transporting us back in time to those halcyon days of yesteryear, and for us, a time before we were even born.
