Menomena - Live in New York 10/1 - Videos
Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 8:58AM And we don't stop, cause we can't stop! BAL is at it again with some footage of one of our favorite bands catching wreck. Last Friday two of our Big Ass cameras captured Menomena tearing through jams in Manhattan. Major props to Barsuk Records, The Orchard and Menomena themselves for allowing us to document the proceedings properly.
Menomena - TAOS / BOTE / Evil Bee
Touring in support of their newest endeavor, Mines, Menomena hit the stage with its newest member, Joe Haege, in tow. Having seen them previously as 3 piece, the addition of a 4th member only helps amplify the intricate, precisely tangled beauty of their songs. And boy did these cats bring the ruckus! Touching upon their entire discography, the band played every track with unabashed glee, with drummer Danny Seim leading the charge by fiercely holding down their bounce.
Menomena - Five Little Rooms / Muscle'n Flow / The Pelican
Overall, Menomena played a ridiculously solid set which included more songs than we could record, but we’ve combined six of them into two clips for your convenience. The first clip opens with Mines bangers "TAOS" and "BOTE", and finishes with the serenely gorgeous "Evil Bee", one of our favorite tracks off Friend and Foe. Next up is Mines single “Five Little Rooms” and two great tracks off Friend and Foe, “Muscle’n Flow” and “The Pelican.”
