It’s been over ten days since the monster Pavement reunion we witnessed and more than a week since our last update, so isn't it fitting that we found ourselves back at the same place, doing many of the same things: waiting in beer ticket lines, waiting in beer lines, and throwing some mean bows to deliver another quality product. The nostalgia still fresh from a week full of Pavement, we returned to the Willy Waterfront to check out another long due tour from Glasgow indie pop megaband Belle & Sebastian.
Belle and Sebastian - Me And The Major / Get Me Away From Here, I'm Dying
It was clear upon entering the much-reduced waterfront venue that summer was long gone, and with it the scenes, smells, and general pace of life. We hustled extra fast to arrive at the venue, as a forecasted storm was approaching fast and caused a rescheduling of sorts. This storm of course never showed up, instead, there was just mad wind, some of which you can experience first hand in our live video. Relive the experience of being buffeted around by blasting walls of chilly wind - only at BAL.
Overall, B&S performed their nearly 2 hour long set with grace and agility, frequently talking to the crowd, and at one point, inviting several people on stage to dance and clap. The cats looked SOUPED to be dancing on stage. We continued filming.
Check out the pristine footage culled from a whole show’s worth of songs, beginning with their 2-song encore, “Me And The Major” and “Get Me Away, I’m Dying”, two classic tracks from their album If You’re Feeling Sinister.
